About The Role

We are seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and improve machine learning capabilities across our products and internal platforms. In this role, you will work with product, engineering, and data colleagues to turn business needs into dependable AI solutions. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from exploring data and evaluating approaches to deploying models and monitoring their performance.

The right candidate enjoys solving open-ended problems, communicates technical ideas clearly, and balances experimentation with sound engineering practices. This position offers the chance to influence technical decisions and help establish scalable, responsible approaches to applied AI.

Qualifications

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, data science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You bring professional experience developing machine learning or AI applications and are comfortable programming in Python. You have hands-on familiarity with common machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn, and understand core concepts in model training, evaluation, and validation.

Experience preparing data, designing APIs, and deploying services in cloud environments is valuable. You can write maintainable code, use version control, and collaborate through code reviews. You communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical partners, approach unfamiliar problems methodically, and are attentive to data quality, security, model limitations, and responsible AI practices.

Experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or production model monitoring is an advantage, but not required.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and implement machine learning and AI features that address clearly defined customer or business needs. Explore datasets, identify useful signals, and build reproducible workflows for data preparation, training, and evaluation. Compare appropriate modeling approaches and document results, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations.

Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, designers, and data specialists to translate requirements into reliable solutions. Integrate models into applications and services using well-designed interfaces, and contribute to testing, deployment, and operational readiness. Monitor deployed solutions for performance, reliability, and changes in data, recommending improvements when needed.

Follow good engineering practices, including readable documentation, automated testing, secure handling of data, and thoughtful review of model outputs. Stay informed about developments in AI and assess their relevance to Avalore.ai’s products. Share knowledge with teammates and contribute to a culture of experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
