UI Full Stack Developer – Chatbot Platform

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a UI Full Stack Developer on behalf of our client in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will join a team building and enhancing a modern AI-powered web application that enables natural language data queries. This role focuses on developing a Next.js frontend, integrating with a chatbot-driven backend API, and delivering interactive, responsive data visualizations.

The position requires working within an existing codebase, improving UI/UX, resolving technical issues, and collaborating closely with backend teams in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain features within a Next.js frontend using App Router and API routes.
Build responsive, interactive UI components using React (hooks, context, functional components) and Tailwind CSS.
Integrate REST APIs and develop proxy layers as needed.
Implement data visualizations using libraries such as react-google-charts.
Manage asynchronous patterns including polling, promises, and state management.
Collaborate with backend developers and cross-functional teams using Git and modern development workflows.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing codebase functionality and performance.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of software development experience
Strong expertise in Next.js (App Router, API routes)
Proficiency in TypeScript and modern React
Experience with Tailwind CSS for responsive UI development
Familiarity with SQL and basic database operations
Hands-on experience with REST API integration
Strong Git skills and experience with collaborative development
Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new codebases

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS Amplify, React Query, or SWR
Familiarity with chatbot or AI API integration
Previous experience with data visualization libraries beyond basic charting
