Requirements
Must have:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Game Programming; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree - Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience for Junior Engineer position - Proven proficiency in C# with the Unity Engine (2019 and newer) - Strong skills in developing UI systems using Unity UI (uGUI) - Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.) - Experience in developing Serious Games or Games for Training specifically for DoD clients - Active Secret Security Clearance is required - (Desired) Experience in other Game Engines such as Unreal or VBS - (Desired) Knowledge of AR/VR platforms (HTC Vive, Oculus, etc.) - (Desired) Background in iOS, Android, or Windows Mobile development - (Desired) Understanding of C/C++, Objective-C, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML, and other languages - (Desired) Experience in managing the life cycle of training content design and programming - (Desired) Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies - (Desired) A portfolio or GitHub with examples of previous work
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members, customers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop applications using the Unity game engine for the Army and other Department of Defense clients - Creatively contribute to the design and development process of applications, from initial prototype to delivery - Write and test code, troubleshoot and resolve bugs, and optimize performance - Document and review technical designs in collaboration with other software engineers - Produce clean, efficient code with adequate comments while maintaining attention to detail - Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently within a small team under tight deadlines
