Visual Basic Developer

A large, established financial services organization is seeking an Excel/VBA expert to design and build new macro-driven tools that support banking/finance reconciliations. This is a 2–3 month contract with a possibility to convert permanent.

• *Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop new Excel VBA tools and macros to support financial/banking reconciliation processes (no legacy macro maintenance).
• Build end-to-end Excel-based applications that can handle different types of data and file formats (e.g., CSV, text files, Excel from various systems).
• Map and transform data from multiple internal and external sources into standardized reconciliation formats.
• Partner with operations/finance teams to understand reconciliation workflows and translate requirements into automated solutions.
• Implement error handling, controls, and checks within macros to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Document logic, processes, and workflows so others can easily understand and maintain the tools going forward.
• Identify gaps and future automation opportunities as the team explores enhancements to reconciliation processes.
• *Compensation:

$20/hr to $30/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
