- Created and implemented online assignments for the class set of Ipads. Used technology throughout the class to help motivate students and increased participation.
- Displayed leadership capabilities. As a school that had been taken over by the state, I was elected to be on the board with members from the State of Kentucky to help initiate changes and create a plan to help turn around a struggling school. Worked side by side with other teachers, principals and members of the Kentucky Department of Education.
- Helped lead inquiry based science lessons across all grade levels. Worked with both new and veteran teachers to develop and teach a curriculum based around student inquiry.
6th Grade Science and US History - Woodbridge Middle School - Woodbridge, VA

- Taught 6th Grade science and US History
- Unique Same Gender Class Setting, Taught both co-ed and a same gender class. Implemented plans that could address the needs of an all male classroom as well as a diverse co-ed classroom.
- Social Studies department chair for the school, I worked closely with other teachers from across the district to develop a curriculum based on local US History.
- Worked closely with the science department to maintain a lab based science curriculum. By doing this it keeps students engaged and eager to attempt new things.
- Basketball Coach, Coached both boy's and girl's basketball teams for 3 years.
- Leader of the Young Seminoles. Worked with at risk young men on developing leadership skills and community outreach. Led coat drives, food can drives and community clean-up efforts.

- Worked collaboratively with both ESOL and Special Education teachers to modify and implement appropriate assignments based on students' needs and abilities.
- Was the leader of the fitness club, academic challenge club as well as the science club. Was on the teachers as leaders group, science leadership team as well as health and wellness committee.
