• Collaborated with and trained engineers on how to monitor the project sites.
• Conducted environmental field assessments to identify the environmental, biological, socioeconomic impacts at the proposed canal site.
• Authored the environmental, health, and safety monitoring checklists for canal rehabilitation, including identifying risks based on the USAID regulatory drivers.
• Created Environmental Review Forms (ERFs) &Environmental Review Reports(ERRs) for each canal throughout the country, which including mitigation and monitoring plans.
• Authored Environmental Impact Assessments for the canals throughout the five provinces project sites.
• Conducted socioeconomic reviews for the surrounding communities to ensure they were not disproportionately impacted by the projects.
• Conducted various field visits at the SWIM project sites in five Northern provinces of Afghanistan.
