When personal identities people hold are often under or misrepresented in popular advertisements and media, it is common to feel unfit in society. My great passion is to overturn stereotypes and misrepresentations by using accurate depictions of marginalized groups. To accomplish this I want to show the world Diversity is not a problem to be solved, it is rather the answer to the problem.
My devotion to creating has been apparent since I committed to and completed mastering Adobe software at age 13 via Youtube after first hearing of freelancing on Fiverr. The possible power of the my creativity was put into perspective through the 1979 Media Education Foundation documentary, "Killing Us Softly." The film addressed the effects of advertising on women's self image and objectification. Since gaining this perspective I set a personal mission to be a mind behind the media that makes people feel anything but embraced, celebrated, and supported.
I attend Iowa State University and am studying Advertising and Professional Sales. I will be graduating in Fall 2023.
