Abigail Tucker

I am currently a program mentor at South College. In this role, I work with doctoral-level students in a 1:1 setting where we discuss challenges, goals, concerns, and resources. Fostering relationships with students is the focus of my role. I utilize multiple platforms to provide student conversation and progress. Additionally, I work with a collaborative team of mentors to improve the students‘ educational experience by providing feedback and ideas to the director of student services.

Previously, I was a public educator for over 7 years and have about 10 years of experience in Pre-K, 4th, and 6th-8th grade English. I have been a program mentor at South College since December of 2024.

I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education K-6 from Tennessee Tech University, an endorsement in 6-12 English from Carson Newman, and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
