In 1991, Mr. FARID started his career as Staff Engineer for HBRC (Housing and Building National Research Center) in Cairo, Egypt. Mr. FARID received his Ph.D and M.Sc. degree in civil engineering in 2003 and1996, respectively. In 2009, he joined RGF (Riyadh Geotechnique and Foundation) company as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. FARID interests in, construction works, Geotechnical, Road Pavement, Transportation, Sewage and treatments, Rehabilitation of buildings due to cracks or upgrading. He worked on different projects ranging from high rise towers, highway projects, road projects, pump station, dewatering, Factories, compound communities, colleges and schools and commercial buildings. In addition to projects that involve the stability of dams, earth slopes and earth retention systems.
Mr. FARID is a member of the Egyptian Society of Geotechnical Engineers, International Society for Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering and Geo-Institute of ASCE. He is a director for the Geotechnical Engineering Group at the Egyptian Geotechnical and urban Roads code of practice.
Also, he attended many conferences, symposiums, workshops in different places in the world and sharing of research papers in building construction, Rehabilitation and geotechnical engineering field. Mr. Farid jointed NCSU (North Carolina state university) for research in the field of geotechnical engineering with the collaboration of DOT (department of transportation in NC).
