I have taught students from kindergarten to the college level in a wide variety of settings. I enjoy incorporating my past experiences as a civil engineer and climate researcher into my lessons. In recent years, I have taught part-time while purchasing, renovating, and managing rental properties.
With the current change in the economic climate I have time to dedicate myself to teaching full-time. I enjoy working in a demanding enlightening environment and have lived in locations throughout the U.S. and also China and Turkey.
I have worked a civil engineer in Guam, but later entered graduate school to pursue my interests in Earth science research. I have experience writing reports, performing statistical analyses, and coordinating research projects in Greenland. Through an NSF Fellowship in polar environmental change I also performed fieldwork in various disciplines including geology, ecology, hydrology and atmospheric science.
I have experience teaching at the University of San Diego, Dartmouth College, as a substitute at various schools across all grade levels, and as a full-time math and science teacher. After moving to San Diego six years ago, I have taught part-time so that I was able purchase, renovate, and rent out investment property.
