Alison Stevenson is a writer and comedian whose career highlight includes starring in the Audible Original “Like Mother”, which she also created and wrote. She is multi-faceted, highly driven, and never afraid to be bold or stand out. She has been interviewed on “The Today Show” and in publications like The NY Times, VICE, Huffington Post, Paper, Forbes, CNN, and more.
My big break started when I became a columnist for VICE. My years writing personal pieces relating to body image, dating, and culture garnered me a following that lead to more opportunities to write for publications like Glamour, Huffington Post, The Guardian, MAD Magazine, and more. I'm also a comedian, and during this time have been performing all over the country.
I've released two full-length albums, wrote and acted in short films, and more recently, wrote and starred in the Audible Original “Like Mother” alongside Susie Essman of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
I hold two Bachelors degrees from UC Davis. The first in English with an emphasis on creative writing, and the second in Film Studies.
