My name is Aliya Michelle Coleman. I'm a black female character artist and an animator that loves to create diverse and inclusive character designs. I enjoy storytelling and using creative direction to visually design a narrative that is genuine and if possible will make you laugh, cry, or both.
I’ve interned for the Childhood Cancer Society as a Lead Animator on their social media team, and I’ve interned as a Graphic Designer for LaWomen, creating illustrations, animations and social media content centered around gender equality and women’s rights in Pakistan. I am experienced in working in Adobe CC and Autodesk Maya and my work will reflect that. My portfolio contains an assortment of animatics, animated shorts, storyboards, and illustrated character sheets, which should help you to not only get a sense of my artistic ability, but also a feeling for my diverse tastes and capacity for taking on different roles.
I’ve also been a part of Student Juried Exhibition featuring my most notable work, which highlighted my artistic vision and ability to showcase my creative endeavors.
