I graduated with my Associates degree in Biology in December of 2025 from Chattanooga State College. I made the Deans list 4 times during my enrollment and my final GPA was 3.866 which allowed me to graduate as Magna Cum Laude.

During my final year at Chattanooga State College I became a chemistry tutor due to the high recommendations of my organic and general chemistry teachers. In the future I plan to complete my studies with a focus on both Chemistry and Biology. In my course work at Chattanooga State I completed an upper level Biology research course where I had the opportunity to complete a student research project.

During this project I extracted DNA from 9 fish samples, then used PCR to isolate the 16s gene. The samples were sent to a separate company to be sequenced, and when the results came back I used NCBI’s BLAST tool to determine the true identity of the fish samples. This course also allowed me to gain experience using CRISPR technology and incubating bacteria cultures.

While completing my studies I have worked for Domino’s taking on additional responsibilities over the three years of my employment. I began as a delivery driver and trained as an assistant manager where I am responsible for customer satisfaction, balancing of the cash register and closing activities to ensure the store is ready for the next shift.
