Northwestern Memorial Hospital - Chicago, Illinois

• Worked in nephrology department with fellows and doctors in clinic, hospital, and dialysis rounds.
• Obtained valuable experience scribing medical records and learning how to use the Epic program to a satisfactory degree.
• Monitored patients one-on-one and built first contact communication skills in the process.

Sengkang General Hospital - Singapore, Singapore

• Established connections with doctors and medical staff in another country.
• Learned the workings of the emergency room and noticed the surprising differences and similarities between international medical facilities.
• Assisted a current medical resident with their duties.
• Toured and attended an executive meeting concerning the management of an urgent care center and saw how issues are dealt with on a higher level.

Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center - San Rafael, California

• Mixture of volunteering and shadowing under multiple departments.
• Experienced night shift in emergency medicine and had opportunities to communicate with patients.
• Studied under and was guided by multiple pathology experts in analysis of multiple slide samples.
• Developed relations with the members of the radiology department, seeing the inner workings of a cardiac catheterization lab, as well as other scanning devices.
