My name is Andres, I am a junior studying finance over at Umass Lowell. Ever since I was 14 I've been in the Retail business, Helping customers with their needs and questions and ultimately make their experience as satisfactory as possible. As a teen I worked in a restaurant as a host and had to take many orders, help over 50+ customers get seated and make sure their stay as comfortable as possible.
I've also worked at supermarkets as well as retail stores like Dicks Sporting Goods. Something I've become passionate about especially in this line of business is being dependable. Some skills i've honed during my time in retail have been Customer Service, Money handling, Cleanliness and over all being organized and being able to stay on task when it matters most.
Since I was 14 I've worked many jobs in Retail. My first being a Host at a steakhouse when I was 15 I had to manage where people would sit, cleaning tables and taking over 50+ orders a day. The next job I took while at 17 was Walgreens, where I would ring people up, stocking shelves and ensuring that customers had a pleasant experience with us.
The next and my current job is at Dicks Sporting Goods where I focus on customer service with all of our athletes and ensure that their needs are met, additionally I do a little bit of everything, I would be in the floor helping customers or I would be a cashier or I would float around to our footwear section and help customers there.
Currently I am a Finance Student over at Umass Lowell. I am a junior and I am part of a club called ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America)
