My journey in recovery began over 20 years ago as a sober living home manager. I have consistently stayed connected to the recovery community, serving as a group facilitator and working as a recovery coach. Over the years, I have supported many individuals in their recovery journeys.
I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist and a Certified Recovery Coach. Additionally, I am the developer of Drumming Sounds, an evidence-based wellness intervention that utilizes recreational drumming and sound medicine as a support group experience for individuals in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) or inpatient treatment.
I have worked as a contractor with several treatment facilities, including Buena Vista and Native American Connections. As a nationally recognized speaker, I have been honored to present at mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use and addiction-related conferences.
I am also an advocate for those impacted by generational incarceration and addiction. Furthermore, I am the author of The Sacred 7, a book on defining self-identity based on the traditional introduction practices of my Apache ancestors.
As a person of mixed-racial identity, I bring a unique perspective to my work. I have a strong understanding of diverse cultural experiences and am conversational in both Spanish and Nde Biaaz (Apache language).
