Angelina Lara

Hello!

I'm Angelina but everyone calls me Lina. I am 23 year old college grad who just moved back to the Marysville/ Yuba area. I graduated from Sonoma State University with my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with hopes to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in the future!

I have twin nephews who were born prematurely at 26 weeks. My nephew JC who is now five, has had his very own occupational therapist since he was in the NICU. They are my “why” when it comes to completing my goals and my passion for working with children.

While I am in the “between” of undergrad and applying for grad school I am looking to nanny, babysit and tutor all ages in the Marysville/ Yuba area. While I was completing my degree I worked at a nature based preschool for two years! I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children.

While working at the school I was also babysitting for several different families. I truly enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive! I am great with routines, happy to help with light housekeeping and willing to work with all ages!

I truly enjoy being part of a child’s growth and development—whether it’s helping with homework, encouraging creativity through crafts, or just being a steady, supportive presence in their day.

• Supported lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities focused on early childhood development.
• Assisted with classroom management, helping maintain a structured, nurturing, and safe learning environment for children ages 1-5
• Maintained a clean, organized, and engaging classroom while also being in charge of potty training and changing diapers.

• Contributed to maintaining a beautiful, orderly classroom environment aligned with Montessori principles and safety standards.
• Communicated daily updates to parents and supported the individual needs of children, including those with special learning requirements.
• Helped children develop social, emotional, and motor skills through guided play, storytelling, music, and arts & crafts.

I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with hopes to become a pediatric occupational therapist. I am currently taking a break while I wait to apply for a Graduate program next year to begin working towards my Doctorate.
