• Maintain a safe, calming environment for high acuity patients who require continuous 1:1 monitoring, remaining in close range of the patient at all times (occasionally replaced with video monitoring in the Emergency Department)

• Document data of assigned patient's behaviors into patient's chart in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Practice therapeutic communication with patients and patients' families to help provide continuous and comforting care of the patient, and avoid escalations of behavior
