I am a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a double major in Communications and Spanish and a minor in Portuguese. I am studying Communications to develop strong analytical abilities to understand all the aspects of communication through critical thinking and develop skills in public speaking, writing, research methods, and leadership. I have a strong passion for languages and different cultures. I am fortunate to have grown up in a bilingual Spanish household, and decided to pursue the Spanish major to further my fluency and knowledge of the Hispanic culture and language. I understand the importance of knowing multiple languages and decided to study Portuguese in college, which gave me the opportunity to spend part of my summer in Portugal furthering my language skills.
