With the current state of the mortgage business, I am looking to make a new career path.
I have been in supervisor and management positions and I understand the importance of meeting goals and deadlines. Part of the mortgage processor job is to maintain effectiveness, as well as manage time efficiently and responsibly to get everyone to the closing table on time and as agreed all the while working tirelessly behind the scenes to fix issues or problems that arise while keeping a calm front.
Thinking on your feet as well as thinking outside the box are two major traits that come in handy on a daily basis. People are always wanting my secret on how I have been so successful at processing and my first reply is organization and clear communication. Another strong point I have, is making people feel comfortable and at ease around me. I have the ability to relate to all types of people and possess strong written communication skills as well as verbal.
Obviously my experience in mortgage may not directly related to your projects, but I do know what it takes to get everyone on board and moving toward the same goal.
I would love to talk with you more.
With the current state of the mortgage business, I am looking for new opportunities to pursue in a career. I have been successful in the mortgage business and recruited to each job change on my resume. I have worked from the ground up to build a solid foundation and I know I bring a lot to the table.
I have managed and been managed, so I know what it takes to work on either side of that coin and be productive as well as respected. I am a walk the walk type of employee. As a subordinate, I do what it takes to get things done and work well under pressure.
I make it a point for management to say, "Wow, how'd you make that happen" versus "Where are we on this or why it is not done?" but I do not depend on praise to motivate me to get a job done. That is where my own competitive side kicks in. I never back away from a challenge.
As a manager, I think it is important to know all aspects of the roles you are managing and made a point to hold myself to that standard. I would have never asked my employees to do something I would not have done or did not know how to do myself. I think respect is a two-way street and attitude and a willingness to learn goes a long way.
I am a leader and I understand how actions can spread though out a team, whether they be positive or negative and I always make a point to be the positive. Yes, my previous experience has been mortgage, but in this business, you get a taste of all of it. Sales, meeting deadlines, working with others toward a primary goal, communication, professionalism, organization and multi-tasking.
I know these skills could be put to good use on whatever endeavor I decide to take on next
