Ashley Irvin

My name is Ashley Irvin and I am currently 25 years old. You name it, I’ve done it. I have worked in restaurants before, to becoming a financial service sales agent, a tutor for children and adults, to a laborer in the construction industry where I have worked on a submarine and aircraft carriers, to most recently starting up my own taco food business in Houston.

I am a highly driven individual who is fluent in Spanish. I have an Associates in Science for Geology and currently taking a pause in working on my Bachelor‘s. I have volunteered, traveled for work, worked 60-70 hours with 2 days off in the month, and have grinded away looking for an opportunity to put all my skills in practice.

I am experienced in many things from tutoring children to adults in reading, writing, and math subjects to becoming a financial service agent who focused primarily on selling life insurance when I was fresh out of high school. My most recent professional experience has been in the construction industry where I have learned to read isometric drawings of electrical heat trace, insulation, and fireproofing. I became NACE CIP LVL 1 certified which allowed me to become a QC to inspect coatings which I did officially at a refinery in Corpus Christi and unofficially for crane rail at a dry dock for a submarine.

I have worked with my hands as a laborer at construction sites, to helping the QC department with their paperwork in an office. I have walked with government officials representing my company to inspect the work done by laborers and make sure everything was in accordance and if it wasn’t to help direct what needed to be fixed. My contractual jobs in construction have been going on and off for about 4 years now starting off with Insulations Inc., Meitec, Valu Industries, to most recently IMIA.

Received my Associates in Applied Science degree for Geology and have put my Bachelor‘s on pause as I save up for school once again at the University of Houston in Texas.
