Audrey Reiley

An interaction designer and a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master's in Design for Interactions. I combine research, storytelling, and hands-on making to design experiences that bring about meaningful change in people's lives. My practice spans both digital and physical realms, blending traditional art-making with emerging technologies, such as physical computing and sustainable 3D printing materials.

​I'm drawn to projects that challenge me to think systemically about complex problems while staying grounded in human needs. When I'm not designing, I'm usually deep in a video game, experimenting with new materials, tending to my garden, or spelunking!

Currently seeking full-time product, interaction, and experience design roles.

I've been teaching and doing research at Carnegie Mellon University, where I'm currently an Adjunct Instructor and have worked as a Research Assistant. In my research, I've experimented with sustainable 3D printing materials testing out recipes using coffee and mycelium. As a research assistant, I also analyzed design education through qualitative coding and statistical analysis, which led to co-authoring a peer-reviewed paper.

Before CMU, I worked as an Instructional Designer at DOT Training Solutions, where I created training videos and graphics, contributed ideas for solving training challenges, and helped develop benchmarks for improving programs. I was also a previous Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia.

I'm a recent MDes in Interaction Design student from at Carnegie Mellon University (graduating May 2025 with a 3.8 GPA), after completing my MA in Design there in 2023 (3.9 GPA). Before grad school, I got my BFA in Studio Art and Art History from Lebanon Valley College in 2018 (3.68 GPA).
