• Acted as a primary assistant to the Anesthesia Provider(s) in up to 16 adult Operating Rooms, or 6 Pediatric Operating Rooms; duties included in-OR machine maintenance & troubleshooting, responding to codes, equipment sterilization, and OR-wide supplies inventory
• Provided and set up Belmont rapid infusion and Cell Saver machines, & ran Arterial Blood Gas/Glucose/ Hemoglobin analysis
• Assisted Provider with both intubations/extubations, & putting in Intravenous/Arterial/Central Lines
• Prepared & supported with offsite anesthesia inductions and codes in Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, Pulmonary Lab, MRI & CT, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Labor & Delivery
• Set up intubation assistance tools: C-Mac, Fiber Optic Bronchial Scopes, T.E.E Probes, GlideScopes, & Sonosite Ultrasound machines for IV’s, Arterial Lines, and Regional Nerve Blocks
• Disposed of biohazardous waste, disinfected machines, sterilized probes, and restocked anesthesia supplies within each individual OR or OR block
• Spent four months in Pediatric-exclusive ORs (including Peds Trauma) preparing IVs, airway circuit setups, & providing supplies relative to each patient’s age and body proportions
