I worked at the Attorney Grievance Committee for the First Judicial Department (NYC) and the Second Department’s Grievance Committee in the Ninth Judicial District (Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, and Rockland Counties) as an intern. At each office, I reported to the Deputy Chief Counsel and worked closely with the Staff Attorneys on the various clerical and administrative tasks that were assigned to me.
My responsibilities included the following: maintenance of investigative records and files in a computer database, electronic and physical files; proofing and tracking disciplinary letters; record management; processing complaints (pertaining to the allegations of attorney misconduct); worked as a paralegal intern in summarizing complaints and the attorney replies and answers; prepared statistical reports; responsible for scanning the Committee’s entire inventory of Letters of Admonition into PDF format; data capture of Immigration matters onto Excel; assist in attorney inventory matters of attorneys who were disbarred, suspended, deceased or incarcerated; filing, transporting and assuring custody of confidential documents; as well as other clerical and administrative duties.
As to my computer skills, I am familiar and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
In May of 2020, I graduated from the Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor degree in English Literature; where I was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta (English Honor Society), and ranked within the top 30% of my class, and had a 3.6 GPA.
And, in July of 2023, I graduated from Fairfield University’s Graduate School and earned a Masters in Fine Arts, in creative writing.
