Autumn Backhaus

Art, crafting and music, have been my greatest passion since I was a young girl of10 years old. I am also a lover and collector of rocks, and have quite the collection of rocks in my home. I like to call them, hidden gems of the earth.

So, I started using them for crafting as well. I have always believed, if you can dream it and imagine it, you can create it! I love to paint on canvas and other backdrops- Oil/ Acrylic and Water. I paint abstract, animals, landscaping, buildings, anything but portraits.

I enjoy creating mosaic table tops, stepping stones, wall art, anything that can be imagined, using various materials such as flat stone, glass, clay, tiles. I have also created my own tiles for mosaics using old CD's and DVDs, paint and heat. I enjoy wood burning, wood and stone carving, I make steam punk art, I absolutely LOVE making windchimes using flat stones, shells, beads, glass.

I love to dabble in other things, like resin making, scrapbooking, jewelry, acrylic resin pours, and so many other things. If you would like to see pictures of what I have done, I would love to show you. I also play the piano, the organ, and the guitar.

I love to create my own songs. Creating and surrounding yourself with the beauty of the human imagination, is the most satisfying feeling.
