An accountant by trade and writer by passion, I have an unfailing love for our youth, history and books.
Activities I enjoy include cooking and sewing; fishing, boating and camping; fencing and golf; and ballet and gymnastics. For quiet time I enjoy reading or working on puzzles. I‘ve owned and cared for most common pets as well as horses. Traveling is also an exciting pastime. I’ve been to 47 of the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America.
I’m extremely organized and ready for almost all predictable events. Hurricane preparedness is second nature and so are blizzards!
My background is varied. Much of my life has involved one aspect or another of the publishing industry.
I‘ve had the opportunity to teach toddlers and teens, physically handicapped and emotionally disturbed children, and worked one-on-one with a young autistic boy. I’ve also worked with doctors, lawyers and architects in a variety of capacities.
Additionally, for several years I worked in the renewable energy sector and was involved with hydroponic and organic gardening which I found very rewarding.
