About
I am a sophomore at Northeastern University studying Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in History and a place in the John Martinson Honors Program. As a mechanical engineering student, I'm drawn to machinery and design, especially aerodynamics and modeling. I love using CAD and analysis to create and test parts - using technical skills to make something tangible and crucial to an overall system that goes beyond just numbers on a screen.
I got to explore that firsthand designing a borehole pump system with Engineers Without Borders, building AutoCAD schematics from hydrogeological data and validating designs with local officials in rural Uganda, and again modeling moving mechanical parts like a crank-and-pin assembly for a Boston Children's Museum exhibit. For me, what ties it all together is collaboration, whether with community stakeholders, a design team, or customer service, I've learned good work comes from staying responsive to the people you're building for and with
Experience
AIAA Design/Build/Fly Competition — Electric UAV | Northeastern University Sept 2026 – Present
- Co-design and fabricate an electric UAV with a deployable towed sensor alongside 3 teammates, dividing aerodynamic, structural, and payload work toward a proposal, design report, and April 2027 fly-off
- Design and simulate an electric propulsion system in MATLAB Simulink and Simscape, modeling a 0.9 m propeller to achieve 139 N of steady-state thrust at 2,500 RPM in an idealized model
- Research historical aircraft design data to set performance targets and drive sizing decisions, developing a constraint diagram relating wing loading, thrust-to-weight ratio, wing area, weight, and drag
Borehole Pump System Design | Engineers Without Borders Sept 2025 – Apr 2026
- Designed borehole system schematics in AutoCAD, integrating hydrogeological survey data from previous records to optimize water yields and inform drilling depth and placement decisions
- Analyzed soil composition, water table depth, and aquifer yield to evaluate potential drill sites and predict groundwater accessibility, guiding final drill site selection
- Coordinated with local public works officials in rural Uganda to validate designs, ensuring technical accuracy while accommodating community preferences
Boston Children's Museum Game Design | Cornerstone of Engineering Jan 2026 – Apr 2026
- Modeled a crank-and-pin mechanism, motor mounts, and 12 unique building blocks in SolidWorks, fabricating components via laser cutting to ensure precise fit and function of moving parts
- 3D printed a crank-and-pin assembly converting rotary motor motion into platform oscillation, simulating earthquake-like shaking to test the stability of player-built towers
- Adapted designs for children's safety by filleting sharp block corners, enforcing minimum block dimensions, and supervising gameplay during the museum exhibition
- Collected and analyzed real-time performance data over a 2-hour exhibition, recording a platform frequency shift of only 3.04 Hz to 3.00 Hz (<2% deviation) and demonstrating durability under sustained use
Food Server — Luke's Lobster | Portland, ME Aug 2021 – Aug 2026
- Trained and onboarded new servers on menu knowledge, POS systems, and customer service standards during peak summer seasons
- Averaged $15,000+ in weekly food and beverage sales while maintaining a high tip percentage, collaborating with teammates to sustain efficient, positive service
Soccer Referee — South Portland, ME May 2022 – Oct 2024
- Officiated youth soccer matches, enforcing FIFA regulations and player safety while guiding inexperienced players and maintaining game pace
- Managed high-pressure, fast-paced situations requiring quick decisions and clear communication with players, coaches, and parents
