Braden White

Hello! My name is Braden White and I am a computer engineering student at the University of Oklahoma.

I am the current IGVC captain for Sooner Competitive Robotics, which stands for the "Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition"; an autonomous vehicle competition in which teams build robots to navigate through a course without the use of a controller/input device.

Here are some of the technologies that I have utilized:

Altium Designer, EAGLE, Multisim, C, C++, Java, Matlab, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Linux, Git

My most relevant “professional” experience is with Sooner Competitive Robotics.

Here are some of my accomplishments/duties as an officer and captain:

• Leading a team of likeminded engineers toward the completion of an autonomous vehicle.
• Mentoring younger members and teaching them about the technologies we utilize.
• Utilizing technologies such as Altium, ROS, and functional programming to accomplish the specific goals of building the robot.
• Carrying out administrative duties that consist of keeping track of lab inventory, attending university meetings, and running weekly IGVC meetings.
• Created a PCB to receive radio signals for the electronic stop (ESTOP) feature of the robot, also utilizing CAN to relay the messages received to the main computer board.
• Created a relay PCB that uses transistors to make sure that if any electronic part is signaling for the robot to electronically stop, that it is guaranteed to.

I am currently a Junior standing at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing my bachelor's degree in computer engineering and a minor in computer science. Here are some relevant courses that I have taken, or currently taking:
