Bryn Rougeau

Hi! My name is Bryn, it brings me endless joy to provide care for others. I look forward immensely to getting to know who I’m caring for! I have experience in medication management and administration, wound care, injections (SQ, IM, insulin), bathing/hygiene, dressing, obtaining vital signs, performing routine and emergent pt assessments, etc. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!

Healthcare-wise, I’ve mostly worked in nursing home/assisted living settings. I’ve worked as a resident assistant (approx. 2 years), a medication technician (approx. 3 months) and clinical specialist (approx. 5 months). I currently work as a medical assistant in a pediatric office, have been for about five months now, but I’m ready to get back to geriatrics!

I have experience in wound care, transferring (with and without mechanical lifts), meal preparation, housekeeping, medication administration/management, injections (SQ, IM, including administering insulin), vaccinations, dressing, bathing, basic hygiene, obtaining vital signs, ostomy care, monitoring and assessing pt’s, performing routine and emergent assessments (including basic neurological assessments).

I currently attend Grand Rapids Community College, I was initially going down the pre-med path, I switched into nursing, and finally settled on biochemistry a few months ago! I’ve gone to GRCC for approximately two and a half years. I attended Hudsonville High School and graduated in 2022. I got my CCMA certification my senior year of high school at the Careerline tech center in Holland.
