90% of this job is troubleshooting, you have to be very attentive or else before you know it the whole flow to the warehouse may have to be shut down, you need to be quick on your feet and be able to assess and fix issues within a timely manner, there are a lot of running parts in the warehouse you need to be paying attention to.
- Receives paperwork regarding what chemical and what tank it is being held in, opens the valves that lead to the warehouse and sends the product
- Pays attention to the temperature of the chemical in relation to the dew point outside and adjusts water flow and belt speed to ensure the product is to spec
- Ensures no warm or wet product falls into the hopper before it is bagged.
- Monitors robot and applicator arms to make sure the correct amount of product is being blown into the bag before it is sealed and is sent down the line to be palletized.
- Once the robot has stacked a full pallet of bags it is my job to pick up the pallet with a forklift, place the pallet on a stretch wrapping machine and then load the pallet onto the semi truck.
- Same principal applies to when we drum liquid product you line the valves up to the drumming station where you've got all your drums prepared, set the drums under the spouts and send product to them, one full take off the scale and apply lids onto the drums then let them cool down and load them onto a semi truck.
