Bartender - Ralphie's Sports Eatery - Holland, Ohio

I've worked the last seven years as a bartender in the fast-paced environment of a sports bar. I've been a reliable employee who was asked to move to the Holland restaurant after the Perrysburg location was damaged by fire. I've worked with several point of sales computer programs and recently worked through the bugs and helped train other bartenders on the newest computer program.
Bartending requires excellent customer service and communication skills. In addition to the communication, you must be able to multitask and prioritize drink orders for those sitting at the bar and in the entire restaurant. I've learned to use my organization skills to ensure the glasses are cleaned and sanitized, coolers are restocked, and customers are happy.
In addition to serving drinks, I'm responsible for cashing out customers, handling money transactions, and cashing out Keno bet cards. I use my leadership skills and take my responsibility to comply with liquor laws and regulations seriously. As a bartender, I understand the importance of working as a team to make sure everyone has what they need to succeed.
Shift Manager - McDonalds - Perrysburg, Ohio

I worked in nearly every position up to shift manager during my six years at McDonalds in Perrysburg. I used my communication skills to take customers' orders and prepare food orders. I was responsible for checking food handling procedures and temperatures to ensure food safety which ensured great food quality.
I documented cash deposits and was trusted to make bank deposits. As the manager I was adaptable and used my organization skills to ensure staff and customers were aware of all job and promotion postings. I've worked with several computer programs designed to make scheduling staff and ordering more efficient.
I was adaptable and used my emotional control when assigning staff to their work areas and delegate breaks and shifts to maintain labor costs. I was relied on to communicate effectively to handle customer complaints and I learned to be an effective listener when dealing with customers. I used my leadership to maintain a clean and efficient environment in the fast-paced work of fast food.
Package Handler - FedEx Ground - Perryburg, Ohio

While working at FedEx Ground I was a general laborer package handler. I was responsible for ensuring the successful transfer of items to and from a conveyor system. I was able to multitask while scanning packages as they went up the conveyor system for accurate tracking. I learned to drive carts to delivery trucks and was required to lift up to 100 pounds when unloading incompatible items.
