March 2023 graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Washington Tacoma with almost two years of research and tutoring experience. As an undergraduate researcher, I designed an award-winning poster on my research during my SURP 2022 internship at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, on top of reinforcing my wet lab and research skills such as in cell culture, sterile technique, data analysis, and experimental planning through my experiences at Fred Hutch and at UW Tacoma. As a science and mathematics tutor, I served a diverse set of students at UW Tacoma individually and in workshop settings, and improved my ability to listen actively and facilitate others' problem solving skills.
Together, my research and tutoring experiences make me an ideal candidate for a biomedical research position where I work in both collaborative and independent situations, and help others in the lab (such as newer lab members, lab aides, and undergraduate researchers) get familiar with the lab and improve their techniques and projects. In the long-term, I plan to attend a Ph.D. program in graduate school after gaining sufficient relevant research experience and pursue a research career in cancer immunotherapy.
