I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Willamette University and a Masters of Social Welfare degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Social Welfare. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated an interest in library sciences, public health, history, and biology. I recently completed the California Naturalist course offered by the University of California system in partnership with Effie Yeaw Nature Center.
I have experience in providing hands-on services as well as fund development and program development. I believe that I would be an asset to any department!
My experience includes working in the non-profit world and in education, including programs ranging from infant enrichment daycare through providing lecture and seminars to retirees. Highlights include providing hands-on services to clients in rural Alaska, fund development and program development services to Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Sacramento, public policy education to the American Academy of Pediatrics, and literacy and adult education services to the Sacramento and Folsom Public Libraries.
