As a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, I am dedicated to offering personalized, holistic, trauma informed, and evidence-based care. Excellent communication skills to foster trust in patients. I am highly motivated and detail oriented, with strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills. I work well independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve high quality care.
Majority of my nursing experience has been in a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children’s Hospital Colorado, caring for some of the smallest and most fragile patients. This experience honed my critical thinking and prioritization skills, strengthened my ability to remain composed in high-pressure environments, and allowed me to work seamlessly within multidisciplinary medical teams. It also instilled in me a holistic and adaptive approach to nursing that I will carry forward as a Nurse Practitioner.
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Master in Science in Nursing. I completed 179 hours of gynecology training at Denver Health, as well as 331 hours of training in obstetrics and gynecology at UCHealth Hospital in Aurora with the Center for Midwifery and University Nurse Midwives. These clinics operate in high volume settings, seeing 15 to 20 patients per day and serve a predominantly low socioeconomic patient population who lack time, education, and resources, significantly impacting their health outcomes.
My clinical experience reinforced the need of equitable healthcare for all individuals and further solidified my approach in providing inclusive patient centered care.
