I am a Secondary Spanish Teacher and more. I am passionate about students and learning. I provide an environment where ALL students can learn and begin to acquire the Spanish language. I use Second Language Acquisition Methods to develop skills in my class. I make sure my curriculum is relevant and compelling to my students. Lastly, I am a life-long learner myself.
I began teaching in 1994 in Compton, California. I moved around a bit and took work closer to home in long Beach, then Northern California. After getting married I moved to New Mexico and enjoyed teaching for several years. I have taught a widely diverse group of students in a variety os schools. I am passionate about learning and working with students to facilitate their growth as individuals and learners.
I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Spanish Language and Linguistics. I then attended California State University, Dominguez Hills while interning in Compton to earn my teaching Certificate.
