Christa Ricks

I am a junior at Millersville University majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in media arts production. Played two seasons as a forward for Millersville Women's basketball team. My love for sports and my passion for media helped direct me to major in communications. A current student worker with my university's athletic communication department where we work all sporting events to capture content for social media and live stream for fans to watch games. I also conduct post-game player/coach interviews and run all social media during basketball games. I am currently a member of MUTV which helps me gain real-life experience working on screen and behind the scenes with scripts and filming production.

I have grown interested in being an on-screen talent when working in broadcast. With my love of social media, I aspire to also work in a field that allows me to help assist in growing a team's social media presence. As a female, I hope my efforts lead me to work in a male-dominated workforce like the sports and entertainment industry and help pave the way for other women who wish to work in sports.
