In my previous role as an Android engineer at Quantum Health. I led the revamp of the application to Android Native using Kotlin and Compose. I utilized creativity, foresight, and judgment; providing thought leadership within product development. I wrote tests in mockk and implemented CI testing of line coverage with Kover. I wrote documentation and steps to replicate work for code reviews and to improve processes.
In my previous role as a call center specialist at Community Healthcare Network, I communicated effectively with doctors and nurses, crafting concise and informative messages and creating internal educational content. I also researched options for patients to increase positive impressions. I managed over 100 daily calls, skillfully de-escalating callers in various moods and ensuring their needs were met.
I graduated from Syracuse University with a BA in English and Philosophy in 2019. I learned a lot and held my studies dear. I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in software engineering late in my college career. I decided to enroll in Flatiron School's Full-Stack Software Engineering program in New York City.
The program was rigorous, but I learned a lot about the fundamentals of software engineering. I learned how to code in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML, React, Redux, and Sinatra.
In addition to the technical skills, I also learned a lot about the soft skills that are essential for a successful career in software engineering. I learned how to work effectively in a team environment, how to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and how to solve problems creatively.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have received a high-quality education in software engineering. I believe that my education has prepared me well for a successful career in this field. I am confident that I will be able to use my skills to make a positive impact on the world.
