As a web developer, I have been interested in technology from a very young age. It began with dismantling and examining our family computer to solve the problem of a malfunctioning dial-up connection to taking AutoCAD and computer animation classes in high school. At that time, I did not follow my passion however, my former career allowed me to teach and work with diverse groups of people to help students gain reading skills so they can realize their full potential and foster a love of reading.
My background includes completing a full-stack web development boot camp, where I gained proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React and Angular. I also have practical experience with server-side technologies including Node.js and Django.
Out of all of the technologies I have become proficient in, React.js continues to be my favorite. I love developing single page applications, building components, integrating routers and RESTful APIs. Building websites using these technologies is a truly magical experience!
In my previous role as a Reading Specialist, I led curriculum development and integrated technology to enhance learning outcomes. This experience equipped me with strong project management skills, an ability to collaborate with diverse teams, and problem-solving capabilities.
I have hands-on experience with SQL, and PostGreSQL, and am familiar with Trello for project management. Additionally, my technical skills are complemented by my analytical thinking and attention to detail, which are essential for performing feasibility analyses and resolving software issues effectively.
Driven by my lifelong love of technology and problem-solving skills, I am beyond excited to finally follow my passion and pursue a career in Web Development!
