As a Vice President at Mott MacDonald and Founder of Federal Capture LLC, I’ve led organizations through growth, operational realignment, and challenging times. At Mott, I sit on the senior leadership team, directing U.S. operations, and serving as project principal on USG-funded programs in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. For eight years prior, I built and ran a US-small business that supported companies and not-for-profits expand their footprints within the US foreign assistance industry. My leadership style reflects accountability, integrity, and focus.
A common thread in my career was and continues to be business development (BD). With Federal Capture, I trademarked a US development assistance BD methodology, training more than 800 development and philanthropic professionals in capture and writing practices. My specialty is securing prime multiple award contracts, for non-incumbents that are new to a technical sector in areas such as public finance, health, and conflict management. My clients are just as diverse, serving as Account Lead for The World Bank and US agencies like NASA, Millennium Challenge Corporation, the State Department, General Services Administration, and Veterans Affairs.
I earned a Master degree in Public Administration, educated and trained in public financial management. With professional roots in Massachusetts, public finance took me to countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Djibouti, and Kazakhstan. The most valuable lessons learned, however, had nothing to do with public finance. It was about listening, perspective-taking, and consideration.
Master in Public Administration – Municipal Finance, University of Delaware
