My primary career has been in refugee resettlement and health which I've worked within various roles impacting the social driver of health of economic empowerment to program oversight of statewide domestic refugee medical and mental health screenings in Maine and refugee health education, health care navigation support, and psychosocial support programs in Utah and Maine.
The secondary career that I wish to grow more into is higher education - teaching or program development. I've found my motivation to teach in the field of journalism and media studies, and am interested in applied communication studies around visual communication strategies, interpersonal communication, health communication, intercultural communication and organizational communication. I would like to continue learning in the fields of digital design and strategic communication to support these teaching motivations.
As hobbies, I enjoy skiing, dining, baking and cooking, hiking, reading spending time at the beach - especially if playing volleyball and eventually I will love trail running again.
