Raised up in a small town. Parents took us to a little country church. As a married young adult, went to church on special occasions. Never spent much time studying the bible, much less reading it. Took in only what I heard from church leaders. Once the children got older and left to start their own lives me and my wife began to get more involved in the local church.
Volunteered to help with a new program the church took on. The new program was the already established Royal Rangers program and the volunteers consisted of 5 to 6 parents. Being a retired military veteran, I was encouraged by the pastor to take the lead with this new program.
