Math Tutor

I've worked in secondary and post-secondary math education for approximately six years, doing everything I can to help students develop not just an understanding of higher mathematics, but self-efficacy when working with math. Outside the fields of math and education, these experiences have taught me research skills, customer service, professional cooperation, and how to work with clients on a one-on-one basis. I hope to use these skills not just to assist students, but also to care for my community through various other forms of public service.
I've worked for three years as a graduate teaching assistant with University of Kentucky, for two years as the Math/Physics Tutoring Coordinator at Thomas More University, and for one year so far as a freelance tutor with Tutor.com. I've also worked as a member of the Kentucky Statewide Independent Living Council.
I have a master's degree in Mathematics from University of Kentucky, as well as two bachelor's degrees in mathematics and in educational studies from Thomas More University.
