I grew up in the mortgage industry. I started as a receptionist/set up and worked my way through sales assistant, closing, processing, Junior Underwriter and then on to Underwriting. I have underwritten VA, FHA including 203K loans, Bond/DPA, USDA, Conventional underwriting including renovation & new construction, as well as sub-prime, and ALT-A.
The Vast majority of my career has been spent in an Underwriting Capacity. I have had the pleasure and honor of becoming both a Team Lead and an Underwriting Supervisor.
I’m ambitious, determined, dedicated and a team player. This is a career, an industry where the rules change as often as we blink and there is never a shortage of new things to learn or new situations to unravel. I believe the success of my people, my peers, and the company I work for are dependent upon strong communication and working together as a team.
No company thrives without a strong and capable team. I believe my personal success is a direct reflection of the team I am a part of. I am an extremely thorough Underwriter with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for growth.
I have maintained throughout my underwriting career a less than 1% error ratio. I work tirelessly each day on maintaining and creating trusting relationships with all my peers. I have a deep and varied experience within the mortgage industry as well as specialty niches.
I am calm under pressure. I am a problem solver, I’m resourceful and I’m driven. I give all of myself. I am loyal. I bring creativity and passion to my team. I manage with both compassion and boundaries.
I have sought every opportunity to expand my knowledge and to become a strong, capable, and effective leader and team member. I will continue to embrace knowledge and to grow both personally and professionally.
Very little of what we do daily fits inside a box, anyone who thinks it does, probably isn’t in the right job. This is my chosen career. I believe in what we do, I know the value of it.
