Destinie Reed

I’m currently in my second year of pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and deeply committed to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). My passion for healthcare drives me to expand my education further as I embark on my nursing career.

I’m happily married and a proud mother of eight wonderful children, including two bonus kids who fill our lives with joy and laughter. Balancing family life while pursuing my education is a fulfilling challenge that I embrace every day.

Aside from my family and nursing, I have a diverse background with experiences in culinary arts, dental assistance, nail technology, and bartending. I love cooking, dancing, and continuously learning new things, which allows me to bring creativity and passion to every aspect of my life.

I am excited about this journey and look forward to making a positive impact in the nursing field!

I have hands-on clinical experience in nursing, where I have developed essential skills in patient assessments, Foley catheter insertion, wound care management, and medication administration. Through these clinical rotations, I have gained practical knowledge and proficiency in providing direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to best practices in nursing.

I am currently attending Galen College of Nursing, where I am completing my first year in the nursing program. I have successfully finished the foundational courses, which have provided me with a solid understanding of essential nursing principles and practices.
