I served six years in the United States Coast Guard, two years in the Navy Reserve and I have been employed as a civilian with the Federal Government since 2011 as an Emergency Management Specialist, Lead Police Officer, and Security Response Officer. I have experience in Outreach Coordination, Public Speaking, Training, Law Enforcement, Physical Security, and Community Relations. I am seeking advancement opportunities in Outreach and Communication in Emergency Management or Public Health.
I completed my B.A.H.S in Health Care Management and my master’s degree in Homeland Security with a focus in Public Health Preparedness. Please see my attached resume for further details about my skills and experience. Here is a brief overview of what I have to offer:
FEMA Outreach and Communication Coordinator for Risk Analysis branch of the Mitigation division. Responsible for organizing team meetingsand presentations. Hostingin-person and virtualmeetings and trainingto community members and stakeholders on flood risk tools.
I also serve as the Project Monitor (PM) for two organizations in Louisiana, the LA Department of Transportation and Development and the Water Institute of the Gulf. As the PM I am responsible for coordinating with these agencies from the beginning of a grant application to the completion of the project.
I am the Risk MAP team PM for one of FEMA’s marketing contractors under the Community Engagement and Risk Communication (CERC) program.
