I’m a 22 year old whos born and raised in Colorado. I’ve been transporting patients for 9 months now and love the work I do, helping patients get scans done and helping them move along the care they need is very fulfilling. Not sure exactly what I’d like to do in life but I’d like to work in a hospital, I find it fun and rewarding in a lot of ways. I’ve been thinking of nursing but have my options open.
I currently work at the level one trauma hospital Swedish Medical Center as a lead transporter. As the lead I helped set up transportation and the hours for the Sterile Processing Department once it opened. I help delegate tasks or expedite patient transports when needed or asked by hospital staff. Interviewed many different people, and I have the responsibility of training any new hires that have made it through the hiring process. Helped schedule lunches each day following Colorado Labor Laws. I have lots of prior leadership experience as well in fast food. I’m a very hard worker looking for a team of people who are reliable.
I have an associates degree in computer science, and my BLS certification from my current job.
