A passionate and hard worker with a strong work ethic backed by steadfast dedication.
Can weld stick, MIG, and TIG with a preference for TIG but willingness for all.
1 Year Welding Technology Course - Lake Technical College.
D1.1 certified.
My welding experience, while only a year in length, was broad, giving me experience with a variety of welding processes with varying metals; as my resume will confirm. Spending a majority of my time TIG welding low carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless components using both scratch start and high frequency start methods, but also getting quality time in with both stick and MIG. This program introduced me to the operation of a wide variety of sanders, saws, presses, grinders, and similar shop machinery and hand tools.
Additionally, I have spent three years in the nonprofit sphere in Washington DC at an organization focused on international development in chemical, nuclear, and biological spaces among others. This experience has given me invaluable insight into how to run projects, communicate with efficiency and accountability, as well as how to diplomatically navigate a variety of work spaces with a diverse set of employees, funders, and clients.
While I have summarized my experience at Lake Technical College, my experience doing my undergraduate degree at Belmont University and my Masters at The American University of Beirut has prepared me substantially for engaging in critical thought, problem solving, and has increased my communication abilities as well as my professional organizational capacity.
