I have spent the majority of my career specializing in construction accounting, with extensive experience establishing and managing construction loans across a wide range of projects. My background includes detailed budget tracking, oversight of contract terms, and the reconciliation and verification of lien waivers to ensure compliance and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

I was laid off from my previous position due to market-driven changes in lending conditions, including increased equity requirements and higher interest rates, which ultimately led the organization to wind down its construction operations. I am currently employed as a Financial Analyst with the City of Augusta, where I continue to apply strong analytical and budgeting skills in a public-sector environment. However, I am eager to return to the construction industry and leverage my experience in project finance, cost controls, and construction accounting to contribute to a growth-oriented organization.

I am an experienced construction accounting and finance professional with more than two decades of progressive responsibility supporting real estate development and construction operations. My career has been centered on providing financial oversight for multi-entity construction firms, with deep expertise in project budgeting, cost control, cash management, and lender reporting.

I spent nearly 19 years at Kaplan Companies, where I advanced to Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller. In that role, I managed cash flow across multiple entities, reviewed and monitored construction project budgets, prepared monthly bank draw packages, and oversaw accounts payable with a strong focus on proper project coding and internal controls. I worked closely with lenders and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

More recently, at ATC Development, I led corporate and project-level budgeting functions and partnered directly with project managers and senior leadership to track costs, identify variances, and forecast future expenditures. I developed customized financial dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into project performance, reviewed project billings, and prepared detailed financial analyses including cash flow projections, P&L statements, and balance sheets to support strategic decision-making.

Across both organizations, I have built a strong foundation in construction finance—from loan administration and budget oversight to variance analysis and financial reporting—while consistently collaborating with operations and leadership teams.
