Hello! I am a recent graduate from ASU with a bachelors degree in Healthcare Compliance. I have worked in restaurants before and during college gaining excellent time management and customer service skills. I also completed a pair of internships during undergrad to secure my enjoyment for the industry and looking to make a move into a professional career!
My first internship was with a company called SynergyHealth 360, which is a family practice with locations in north Scottsdale and Glendale. There I did office duties such as scanning and filing documents, delivered presentations regarding HIPAA/OSHA issues, helped proofread and mail letters to patients, collected overdue balances over the phone from patients, set up conference meetings for management and representatives, also helped manage the companies re-coding project for the site. During my second internship, it was a remote position with SunHawk Consulting. During the time I was with this company I did a lot of market research and excel work breaking down audit information from the OIG. Helped create a blog outline for the company website to inform their clients about updates from government regulators.
I recently gradated with a Healthcare Compliance degree. Which taught students how compliance is used in different areas of the field. Such as coding and billing, risk management, clinical trials, ethics, etc.
