Elijah Wells

I am a Finance and Banking major at Appalachian State University with a strong foundation in hard work, leadership, and hands-on experience. Before college, I spent four years as a farm hand at Shelton Herb Farm, where I developed resilience, attention to detail, and a deep respect for labor-intensive work. Currently, I apply those same qualities in my role as a line cook at Chetola Resort, known for managing high-pressure environments and long shifts with focus and efficiency.

As President of Kappa Sigma, I’ve also demonstrated my ability to lead, solve complex issues, and drive organizational growth. I’m passionate about building a career that blends financial strategy with real-world problem-solving, and I bring a grounded, results-driven mindset to every opportunity I pursue.

I have developed a strong work ethic through hands-on roles in both agriculture and hospitality. At Shelton Herb Farm, I spent five years operating equipment, caring for crops, and managing physically demanding tasks. Currently, I work as a line cook and bartender at Chetola Resort, where I collaborate across departments, manage high-volume service during peak seasons, and consistently maintain high standards of food safety and customer service.

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Banking at Appalachian State University. My academic focus is on developing financial analysis skills and understanding the foundations of business operations, preparing me for a career in banking, investment, or corporate finance.
